The same shift, told twice
An order falls behind. It shows once it can no longer close.
The drift is flagged while it can still be corrected.
A line runs out of material. It is called in by radio, logged later.
The shortage is logged, with line, quantity, and who owns it.
Shift ends. The report gets written tomorrow, from memory.

Both read the same report, with the source of every figure.
How the agent works
Assemble the report for the shift that just closed and flag the orders that fell short of plan.
The shift closed with two of three orders on plan. WO-4415 came in 24% short, and the cause is on record: line 3 went 90 minutes without material. The report is assembled with that flagged and the shortage is logged to the warehouse.
The numbers come from the systems that already hold them, not from what someone managed to jot down.
